Assessment Task 2: Company Valuation Assignment (Group Assessment) Marks/Weighting: 50 marks and accounts for 50% of the total grade for this course Assignment due dates: Sunday of Week 10 (22nd March 2026, 5 pm, Singapore time) Similarity Index: Less than 20% Word Count/Length: Maximum 5,000 words (excluding ToC, Appendix, Executive Summary and References) – Content in excess of the word limit will not be read or marked Group Size: Minimum 3 – Maximum 4 students in a group Submission Format: You must upload your file in PDF format The Task : You are required to use publicly available information, including the usage of LSEG Workspace (formerly Refinitiv Workspace), to analyse a publicly listed company. The aim is to prepare a report which provides an assessment of the companys current position and future prospects, and which incorporates the use of a range of valuation models to arrive at an estimate of the companys share price and make a recommendation of buy, sell, or hold. This assessment replicates an equity analysis, valuation, and investment recommendation task that would be undertaken by an investment or a security analyst in the professional world. Students will need to evidence their use of appropriate articles and finance databases, such as LSEG Workspace and IBISWorld, as well as information from the company’s website, stock exchange announcements and information releases. Submission Instructions: The assignment will be e-submitted via Canvas, Turnitin. Hard copy or email submissions will not be accepted.
