Once you get to the website Click on the Banner What is Autism? and read each one of the fact sheets. Learn the signs, Symptoms of Autism, What Causes Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Autism Statistics and Facts (In your essay you may also refer to any other chapters already assigned in the text.) In an approximately 2 page essay, (12 pt. print & double-spaced) discuss the techniques used at the school to address the needs of the children with autism. Explain the benefits as mentioned in at least two of the techniques used at the school. Describe the climate of the school community and the mindset of the stakeholders. Explain how what is happening at Fruitville is related to what you have read about in the chapters in the textbook and any other course material including the Autism Speak handout assigned up to and including week 3. I will be looking for citations from the video and the readings. You can also write about whether you think there is value to society (be specific) about what is being done at Fruitville or if it is a waste of taxpayer dollars.
