The capstone assignment for this course is an individual strategy paper that requires students to integrate all elements of the course into a coherent plan for Artificial Intelligence adoption. Each student must select an organization, real or hypothetical, and develop a comprehensive strategy that addresses both the opportunities and the risks of AI integration. The paper should begin by identifying and prioritizing relevant use cases, followed by a discussion of how AI can enable a redesign of the organizations value chain. It must then articulate a governance and ethical framework that addresses concerns such as bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability, before concluding with a realistic roadmap for scaling adoption responsibly.
The strategy paper must be 1,500 words in length, excluding references and appendices. It must draw on required and recommended readings from the course, relevant case studies, and at least five additional sources obtained through independent research. These external sources are mandatory: failure to include at least five properly cited additional references will result in a ten-percentage point penalty. All references must conform to APA 7th edition guidelines. The grade for this assignment will reflect the depth of strategic integration, the originality of insights, the sophistication of governance considerations, and the clarity and persuasiveness of the writing.

Students may use AI tools in accordance with institutional policy. Generative AI software must not be used to write assignments, but it may support organization, editing, and clarity. All AI use must be disclosed in an appendix that records prompts and tools employed. Undisclosed AI use will be considered an academic integrity violation.
