3 57 – Motor Speech Disorders

Purpose: Develop a deeper understanding of motor speech disorders (MSD), while focusing on MSD treatment methods.

Instructions: This assignment has two parts.

Part 1: Lecture Watch the Motor Speech disorder video (I provided the transcript of the video because it’s locked, I couldn’t share), with an emphasis on treatments for Motor Speech Disorders. You are required to watch the video lecture fully. While watching, take notes (make notes using the transcript). Submit your lecture notes. Lecture notes should be three pages. Use direct “quotes from the transcript like this” (Motor Speech Video, 2026) this way is easier for me to find the timestamp.

Part 2: Answer the review questions, found on page 219 and 266-267 of your textbook. For this assignment, you should rely directly on the lecture and your textbook as your primary references. For each answer, include a corresponding specific reference of where you found that answer (i.e. page number from textbook OR time stamp from lecture) remember to use direct quotes so I can find the timestamp.

• Page 266-267 (20 questions addressing Dysarthria)
